Some More About Hum Style Awards 2020

Published

on

After much has been published about who won, who lost and who wore what in 4th Hum Style Awards, here we are with a few highlights of the show which made it different from of all its precursors.

Appearance Of Sajal Ali And Ahad Raza Mir

It was first time the couple appeared at any public event after their engagement last year. Clad in black off shoulder gown with her hair keep straight, Sajal was looking more confident and content as she also gets mature with time along with her professional progress and having the man of her dream by her side. Ahad on the other hand is still a quiet and a shy guy but seems responsible to handle his work and a marital life ahead. Accompanying with his parents, Asif Raza Mir and Samra to the event, this star celebrity family was the main highlight of the night.

Adnan Siddiqui’s Introductory Speech

Adnan Siddiqui has once gained his stardom because of his acting excellence in drama serial Mere Pass Tum Ho. Already internationally famed; he presented a satirical piece the beginning of the show in which he took a grip on from entertainment stars to political personalities. He even didn’t spare the prime minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan. Talking about concern on deteriorating condition of media and showbiz industry, and showing a cold shoulder from government, he quoted a famous writer who said it for this specific situation, “Our PM doesn’t have his own business that is why he doesn’t want it to be hold by anybody else.” All those present in hall clapped and applauded whole heartedly. There remained a political touch in the script overall evening despite being an entertainment show.

Spectacular Stage

This year, the stage for HSA2020 was more gigantic than last three awards. It was designed with a huge backdrop and side wings , which were changing according to the theme of performance. Honestly, it was not less than anything, which we see in any Bollywood awards show.

Ayesha Omar Award Acceptance speech

Ayesha Omar on winning the achievement award for ‘Style Icon’ said that she and her siblings were raised by her mother single handed when her father died in his youth. She recalled how she wanted to have all new and trendy clothes but was only able to get the second hand clothes from cousins because of their tight financial condition. “My mother was adamant to spend whatever money she has on the education and health of her children rather than other luxuries. I studied, worked hard and today I can wear all those clothes and have other luxuries of life, I once wished for.”

Mahnoor Baloch

The big surprise of the night was the presence of timeless beauty of our entertainment industry Mahnoor Baloch. This is first time that the diva has graced the red carpet of any of Hum Network’s event. Wearing a green and blue silk sari with a beautiful velvet blouse, she literally stole the show with her still youthful and acquitted looks.

Pakistani Songs

Another notable thing was the inclusion of Pakistani songs for the performances of the night. Every performance was choreographed on Pakistani music whether it is an electrifying tribute by Ahsan Khan and Sara Loren to old classic tunes of our films by Ahmed Rushdi, Runa Laila, Naheed Akhter and A Nayyar, Zara Noor’s classic number on the OSTs of Deewar-e-Shab and Ranjha Ranjha Kerdi, Urwa Hocane and Farhan Saeed filmi dance on Noori and Dharak Bharak from Superstar, or Abrar-ul-Haq’s lip syncing on his old songs and new offering Chamkeeli.

Lesser stars

It is a fact that the red carpet of HSA2020 was designed very exclusively when it comes to the lights and enormity, but all that could not make it to be occupied with the vivacity of glitterati which was supposed to be present in the events like these. The last three Hum Style Awards saw the who’s and whose from the industry.  The reason which quickly comes to mind is as most of the actors are busy in shoots of their films and because of the tight schedules of shooting (and also not so well financial conditions of industry) they could not off a day to show up on the event.

Nomination of Bilal Ashraf

Another surprise, though it already came when the nominations of Most Stylish Actor Film Male were announced, was the absence of Bilal Ashraf from the said list, as he was the lead of most earning and critically acclaimed film of Hum Network of last year, Superstar. He created his new style by working on his physique and looks. We don’t discuss it further as there was a jury for selecting the nominees and we should respect their decisions.

on

Canadian Pakistani CEO and motivational speaker Muneeb Mushtaq has given us many insightful and empowering thoughts over the years on the basis of his experiences as a young and dynamic businessman. The tech tycoon has been the founder of three tech business ventures and has managed to achieve so much at such a young age. And, he has given back his learning and knowledge by motivating, educating, and mentoring people to be successful in life.

Here are some motivational thoughts by the Forbes awarded entrepreneur Muneeb Mushtaq to get you motivated and beat the Monday blues:

  1. Get rid of the useless and negative clutter in your life

Muneeb Mushtaq suggests that it is important to subtract some of the unnecessary things from life to realise how insignificant they are. He advises us to get away from the insignificant and negative clutter in order to see an immediate positive impact. Worrying about what others think of us, trying to please everyone are some of the unimportant things we need to remove as soon as possible. According to him “When you remove what’s negative, it’ll add more space for what’s POSITIVE”!

  1. Don’t wait, just take the first step

The successful entrepreneur recommends us not to wait for other people or for the perfect moment to do what you have always wanted to do. There will never be a perfect time, situation or circumstances that would make you start working on your dreams. He advises us to just take the first step and get started.

  1. Failure is the opportunity to start over again, more wisely

The dynamic businessman is also of the view that failure provides an invaluable experience that makes it more likely to get success the next time around. He explains: “Till the time you don’t give up, the failures are just learning experiences, helping you to eventually succeed.”

  1. Respect the competition

Muneeb Mushtaq also shares this motivational thought that competition should be embraced and should be used as a driving force to push you further rather than fearing it. Competition is also a validation that there is a massive market and opportunity in the space to grow further.

  1. Change is important

Another motivating thought from Muneeb Mushtaq is that if you want change in life, then you should also be willing to change. He says, “If you are not willing to change, don’t expect your life to either”.
