Committed To Stay Longer In The Field

There are very few actors from our entertainment industry who get noticed by the viewers and fraternity from their first project and Sheheryar Munawar is one of them. A graduate in Business Administration from Karachi, Sheheryar started modelling in very young age and came into showbiz in 2012 with Hum TV’s drama serial ‘Meray Dard Ko Jo Zuban Miley’. After that Sheheryar appeared in many famous dramas as lead and shared the screen with actors like Sajal Ali, Ayeza Khan, Saman Saeed, and Fawad Khan. Like every actor, Sheheryar also had a dream to be on big screen, and his dream came true soon when he became a lead in Asim Raza’s debut feature film, ‘Ho Man Jahan’ opposite none other than Mahira Khan. After that Sheheryar dedicated himself to the big screen and did another film ‘Saat Din Muhabbat In’ again with Mahira Khan, in which he played the role of an obedient son of a wicked mother. Last year, he also worked in a super hero Pakistani film ‘Project Ghazi’. His upcoming film, ‘Parey Hut Love’ has already created much hype in which his concerns are double unlike anyone else as he is also wearing the producer’s hat in the film. Here is little chit chat with young, energetic and enthusiastic guy, who is adamant to stay till the end in this budding industry.

What is something unique in your fourth film, Parey Hut Love?

As an actor I always want to do something new in my every film. My character of Sheheryar in Parey Hut Love is also something different which I have never done in my any film. Sheheryar is an aspiring film maker and actor but is commitment phobic. He is afraid and reluctant of getting married until he meets Sanya (Maya Ali). Sanya is an expat and they both meet at four beautiful and splendid weddings over a course of two to three years. Those years are crucial for their relationship to develop. The fall in in love, they fight and finally celebrate their affection for each other.

In your previous films, we haven’t seen you in the role of a typical sub continental hero, who is romantic, possessive and dance also. Did PHL give you that chance?

Parey Hut Love is actually a celebration of love. It is a classic love story where hero and heroine of the film romance and dance. Yes! I have done this a lot in the film.  You have seen glimpses of it in the scenes and songs that have been released yet.

This is your second film with Asim Raza. How you find him evolve from his last one (also with you) Ho Man Jahan in 2016 and now in Parey Hut Love?

I must say that Asim knows how to shoot a film in pure aesthetic sense. Parey Hut Love has been shot beautifully with amazing colours and wonderful music. I think the most important thing about this film is its cast.  It has a very big, grand, ensemble cast. Asim has collected this cast like flowers on a bouquet. That is a little gist about the film.

How was the experience of working with Maya Ali?

I enjoyed the whole experience of working with Maya. Besides being a wonderful actress, she is a highly disciplined person and has a positive energy with her, which was visible on the set during whole shoot. I really have learned a lot from her and working with her was a kind of fun. We truly became friends on set and when you are friends with your co-star, the chemistry works better and the results come on screen

How was it with Mahira Khan in third film together? Also tell your fans that how much screen you have shared with her in Parey Hut Love?

Mahira Kahan and I are very long time friends. Working with her is always an amazing experience. She has a significant and important role in the film which is actually a twist in the story. Yes! I have very intense scenes with her on the film.
