Pakistani drama industry is at the peak of success with some incredibly plotted drama and efficient actors portraying some meaningful character. We are slowly moving from typical saas-bahu rivalry to life long and life-changing story-lines.
These 5 dramas are totally stealing the limelight and we cannot agree more because of the way they are executed. And these dramas have kept us all busy while we enjoy of winter break.

The iconic drama”Ruswai” featuring Sana Javaid, Mikaal Zulfiqar and many other emerging stars like Natalia is based on a true story and depicts the bitter reality of our society. The most heinous crime “Rape” has been discussed in the drama. The taboos attached to rape are extensively discussed. The real face of society, the power of people and helplessness of family are quite evident from the sequence of the drama. It shows how a woman is treated after all this and the hurdles she has to face on the path of justice. Seeing the flawless plot, we can predict a game-changing ending where the ultimate lesson will be “to blame the rapist not the one who gets raped”.

Mere Pas Tum Ho

Who does not wait for Saturday impatiently? Secretly, all men and women are completely hooked to this drama for many reasons. Yes, it gives a little boost to the man ego as it discusses a woman who cheats on her husband but the fact is it goes both ways. Cheating is wrong in any case. The most fascinating thing about the drama is the dialogue delivery and the real-life lessons that are ingrained in each episode. It is a lesson to home-wreckers, the rich, the cheaters and the corrupt. For the first time in Pakistan, a live-in relationship is being broadcasted. The most noticeable part is that It does not target one gender only when it comes to cheating. It also raises a question that why a woman is forced to forgive a man when he gets into an extra-martial relationship but the case entirely different otherwise.

This will be extremely unfair to compare the drama with Alpha Bravo Charlie, the iconic drama but it has its own perks and charm. It shows the importance of friendship, it gives a glimpse into a strenuous army training, a cute love story of Dua and Saad and on top of it, shows a friendly bond between kids and their parents. It shows an aspect of ongoing corruption, landlord system and the importance of a good career over anything else.

Alif is a spiritual journey of so many actors. They have also quoted in some interviews how Alif changed their life for good. It is an insight into the life of actors which is not just about glamour but is more than that. There is a connection to Allah, there is poverty that brings them to a point where they have to move forward while there is no way back. It shows an undying connection with God, the real self of an actor and the fact that pride always has a fall.

Ishq Zahe Naseeb

A drama that has kept people in complete awe. It discusses split personality; a disease that has a taboo attached to it and rather than taking it seriously, these individuals get different labels like “Pagal” “Transgender” “Psychotic” etc. It is the high time that we started talking about these issues openly while bringing them in normal conversations. Zahid Ahmad has aptly played his character and Yumna Zaidi, fully immersed in her role, was no doubt an epitome of phenomenal acting.
